Big Boy Bed

Well yesterday we started putting Corbin in his "Big Boy Bed". Last night he did great, he went right to sleep after his story and he stayed in bed all night. Tonight however he didn't fall asleep until nearly 10:30 (bed time is at 8!). Every time he was on the verge of sleep I would sneak out of his room, but then 10 minutes later he would come downstairs looking for me.

Finally at 10 I resigned myself to staying there until he fell asleep. The only problem was that he took two connecting blocks with him to bed, so every time he was on the verge of sleep he would focus on putting the blocks together and taking them apart. Essentially he was trying to keep himself awake.

I'm so glad I waited until the end of the quarter to get him adjusted, I couldn't imagine the problems Megan would have putting him to bed when she is here. Hopefully he'll get the hang of it before fall quarter starts and Megan starts watching him two nights a week.

I have the entire week off next week - so I'm going to attempt to potty train both kids while I'm home. I have no worries about Nora, she's ready to do it. But Corbin is going to be a problem. He likes underwear, he just doesn't like using the potty. It's going to be a messy week at my house.
