I don't know what is up with Corbin lately. Usually he's a sweet even tempered little guy, but the past two weeks he's been sneaky and disobedient. Right now his favorite thing to do is to either annoy Nora until she hits him or try to get her into trouble by telling her to do things he knows are against the rules. We're on to him and so we try to step in before Nora gets angry and takes a swing at him. But then he gets angry at us and uses a toy to beat on the couch or another piece of furniture.
Yesterday I was picking up toys in the living room when I heard a crash from the kitchen. Corbin, in an effort to see the neighbors swing set, (or so he said) pulled the blinds off the kitchen window! Scared Nora half to death, it took her almost 30 minutes to calm down. I don't know what pocessed him to do it - he can't even see over the window ledge on that particular window unless he is standing on the step stool - which is safely locked away. He really had to give it a good yank too because we have the string out of reach.
Today I was downstairs making lunch and Randall was with me in the kitchen and the kids were upstairs in Nora's room playing. Then I heard a small crash and Corbin running down the stairs to tell us the window is broken. I race upstairs and this time Corbin has pulled the curtains in Nora's room down from the wall. Unfortunately he pulled so hard that the screw is too small for the newly widened hole in the wall. Tomorrow Randall has to drill new holes and reset the whole thing - so poor Nora has no curtains. Luckily her room is on the back side of the house so the sun doesn't shine directly into her room - but I for see her getting up at dawn and not taking a nap tomorrow.
Now I'm worried he's going to pull something else down on top of his or Nora's head. Luckily the kitchen blinds and Nora's curtain rod are light. But if he were to pull down the curtains at the back door someone could get a concussion.
I hope this is just a phase because I want my well behaved little boy back.
