Easter Sunday

Randall actually made it out of bed on Sunday to watch the kids open their Easter baskets and look for eggs. The Easter Bunny brought Corbin some new crayons and paper, a "Max and Ruby" DVD, a "Backyardigans" CD, and a whistle that blows bubbles. The Easter Bunny brought Nora some purple flip flops, a "Max and Ruby " DVD, a "Backyardigans" CD, and a whistle that blows bubbles. Both kids loved everything, especially Nora and her flip flops, she has been wearing them around the house everyday.

The Easter Bunny hid all the eggs inside this year since it was pretty chilly in the morning. Corbin and Nora were excited to learn that the eggs had their favorite candy in them - M&Ms. After a couple pieces of candy we had breakfast and watched some "Max and Ruby". Then we had to kick it into high gear.

Somehow we all managed to get dressed and out the door for church on time! The only thing we forgot were an extra pair of shoes for me - (I was wearing some really high wedges and needed some backup shoes.) Even though we managed to get there on time, we had to park in the baseball parking lot and when we got inside we found out we had to stand through the service with 80 other people. The service was short and sweet. Nora and Corbin did a wonderful job, I think standing in the back helped Nora because she could move around during the service and wasn't forced to sit. Of course everyone thought she was so cute in her Easter dress and they loved how she twirled with her blankie when the choir sang. She only had one upset moment, and that was when I went up to take Communion. Randall distracted her and kept her calm.

After church we went to Lima to have lunch with my grandparents and cousins. The restaurant was packed! Unfortunately I decided to get the Easter Special, which was one big plate full of salt. I ate the noodles, ham, and green beans - the weird looking turkey went untouched and I ate around the gravy on the mashed potatoes. Corbin and Nora got chicken fingers and fries and Randall got chicken alfredo. Grandma made the kids some pjs and hats for the summer. Corbin loved everything, Nora was too busy running around to care.

Finally we got home and all of us took a nap.
