I never thought I would say this, but I can't wait until January. Looking at the calender we won't have a weekend to ourselves until January! I thought we would slow down a little this month, but with Corbin in preschool and Nora in gymnastics, plus Sarah M. and Larry's wedding, Halloween, and misc events/family visits - I barely have time to sit down and really take a breather.
Last weekend Randall and I were all set to have a relaxing and easy weekend, then the fridge decided to die on us Saturday night. Luckily I caught it before we lost any food and was able to transfer most of the food to the deep freeze or put it on ice on the deck (luckily it was only 35 degrees outside too). Sunday we all got up and went to Lowe's, I picked out our new fridge online Saturday night, so we just had to go in and verify, pay, and pick it up. While all this is going on I'm desperately trying to round up someone to help us get the damn thing in the house. Randall and I managed to get it off the truck by ourselves, and fortunately my dad and our neighbor came to the rescue to get the old one out and the new one in. Then dad and Randall spent about an hour plus putting the doors on the other side. I'm just glad the damn thing didn't break the weekend Randall and I were both out of town because it could have been a whole lot worse.
This weekend my sister wants to go pick pumpkins (we'll see if that happens) and it's the library sale at the main library (Randall's favorite weekend in October). Sunday we are going up to surprise my grandparents at church and get Corbin's scarecrow costume finished (my aunt is a miracle worker!). Hopefully we'll make it back in time for the fall fest at Corbin's preschool, but I'm not betting on it.
