tee hee . . .

I have to post this somewhere Randall doesn't look.

I've been dying to get the red mittens from Canada since they first revealed them in December. Unfortunately they didn't have them widely available until the Olympics because, as my friend from Ottawa said, "you have to be the one unloading the truck to get a pair."

So when the games started, I started bombarding my Canadian friends and some of my friends who actually went to Vancouver to find these gloves for me. Of course they sold out everywhere, and you couldn't purchase them online because Hbc wasn't authorized to sell them "overseas". Luckily one of my lovely friends tipped me off that now Hbc was selling the mittens to international customers. I went to the website and almost went through with the sale, but chickened out because I knew Randall would have a hissy fit because it cost more to ship them, than the cost of the actual mittens. When I finally talked myself into it ~ 10 minutes later ~ they were already sold out.

So today on a whim I checked the site and they had more in stock ~ granted the size available was too big, but they are mittens so who cares. So I went ahead and bought them ~ with the credit card I just paid off completely ~ without any time to think about what I was actually doing.

So in a few weeks I will be the proud owner of the Canada Red Mittens that I have hunted down for months and can never wear for fear I will get a lecture about how I should not buy frivolous things, especially with my credit card.

No buyers remorse here. . .
