Ft. Wayne Children's Zoo

On Saturday we went to the Children's Zoo in Ft. Wayne. I've been there a couple of times, but not since I was maybe 5 years old. We got there right around lunch, which was perfect for us. The day was nice and breezy too, perfect weather for a day outside.

The zoo is more old fashioned than I thought it would be. The enclosures were kind of small, but they didn't have any of the "big" animals like elephants and rhinos. I liked how it was set up almost like a circle making it hard to miss anything.

Corbin just loved it! His favorite part was riding the ponies. He had so much fun we had to do it twice. We also rode the carousel (Nora wasn't a fan) and the train (of course!) Nora enjoyed running around the rain forest exhibit. I think that was my favorite part, it was so lush and beautiful, just like I imagined a rain forest could be (except there are no giant bugs!). They even had little birds running around.

It was a really nice day trip. The drive wasn't too bad at all. Next month we're off to Pittsburgh.
