Last night Corbin woke up at 3am. I think he was congested or had a bad dream or something, but he got up, went potty, and came to snuggle with me for awhile. He then wanted me to take him back to his own room. By now Randall is fully awake and freaking out because he can't get back to sleep. I tuck Corbin in and go back to bed where I have to listen to Randall belly ache until Corbin wakes up again at 4:30 am. After he goes to the bathroom again I take him back to his room and lay with him until he fell asleep. If I knew what was waiting for me in my own room I would have stayed put. When I went back to bed, sometime around 5 am, Randall was still awake, but barely. He belly ached about not being able to sleep until he finally passed out around 5:30. I on the other hand was hesitant to fall asleep for fear of being woken up again. I finally drifted off around 6 am, just in time to hear my alarm go off at 7:15. I thought about taking a sick day, but I knew if I stayed home Randall would be the one sleeping and I would be the one taking care of the kids - so if I had to be awake anyway I might as well make some money.
Today when I was putting the kids clothes away I stashed an extra pillow and quilt in each of their closets - just in case . . .
