Pumpkin Picking

Yesterday we went to the farm a few miles up the road to pick pumpkins. The kids loved it! Both Corbin and Nora were so excited to look for pumpkins. In fact they had so much fun we bought more pumpkins than we intended - we definitely got carried away in the moment. They had some really large pumpkins too! When the kids are older and can help with the carving we might get some of the giants - but this year we focused on the medium sized pumpkins. Corbin, being Randall's son, had to find the perfect pumpkin - which to him meant that he had to be able to pick it up and carry it. After much searching he finally found the one he wanted. Nora on the other hand wanted all the pumpkins she touched!

They also had some neat children's activities set up, but unfortunately there were too many big kids so Nora was uncomfortable and Corbin was getting pushed around. The straw maze was pretty empty, but as soon as we went in there it seemed like all the big kids followed us. Luckily we found the corn box and all was right with the world. Only little kids were playing in there and everyone was being kind and sharing.

Still deciding on what to carve from our half-dozen pumpkins - if anyone has any suggestions please help!
