Butterflies

Randall was off from work today so we decided to take the kids to the Franklin Park Conservatory to see the butterflies. Corbin remembers going last year, but was even more excited because we released our own butterflies about a month ago. Nora didn't care one way or the other, she just knew it meant going "bye-bye" and she got to wear a pretty dress.

We got there just before they released the butterflies that hatched over night. Corbin was amazed at how close they were, often we were dive bombed or buzzed by them. We wandered around the rest of the conservatory, but some parts were closed for renovation and for the installation of the new Chihuly exhibit. We visited the butterflies one more time before we left.

Side note: Okay I'm used to people telling me my kids are cute, but today every older woman we saw had to stop us and comment on how pretty Nora looked in her dress, we even had some ladies ask to take a picture of her! This is something I'm definitely not used to! No one said anything to Corbin, it was all about Nora. Finally Corbin spoke up and told one lady, who was fawning over Nora, "Hey I'm cute too!" She was surprised, I don't think she even saw him standing there. Maybe next time I will dress them in matching outfits - or just some ugly clothes.

Yes he did! The lady was quite taken aback! It's like she just realized the rest of us were there.
