Polar Bears

Sunday morning we decided to go to the zoo to see the polar bears. We got there as the gates opened in order to beat the crowds and the heat - we succeeded. Both kids enjoyed watching the polar bears and the brown bears, but their favorite part was playing on the new playground.

On the way out Nora hit the jackpot because the keepers had 3 juvenile flamingos outside for the guests to pet. Nora was in heaven! She was so gentle with them and she had to pet each one. She is definitely getting better about touching and petting animals. Her favorite flamingo was the one that had the most pink feathers (of course!).

The best part about having a zoo membership is that we can go for an hour or two in the morning and not feel like we're wasting money or feel rushed to see everything in one day.
