Thursday

Yesterday we left to go to Grant Farm. Unfortunately before we left the hotel for the day Randall discovered that we had a nail stuck in our tire. After about an hour and half we finally got that fixed and were on our way.

Randall of course does not know how to read signs or listen so we drove right past the entrance to Grants Farm. Finally we got there after turning around. First we went to the stable barns to see the famous Budweiser Clydesdales. They had the moms and babies out in the pasture for us to pet. Corbin loved petting the horses and Nora loved watching them. She kept pointing them out and shouting "horsies!" When you first get to the farm you have to take a tram to the main area. They drive you through the area where Grant's former home stands and there game preserve where they have different types of deer, cows, and wild mustangs roaming throughout the area. After the tour through the preserve the tram drops you at the Tier Garden where they have a petting zoo and other wild animals on display. Of course Corbin's favorite were the African elephants. He also enjoyed looking at the camels and the Bald Eagles.

The food there was too expensive and the lines were pretty long so we just got our free beer samples and went to look at the Busch Family's collection of antique wagons. We also visited there show horse stables. In the stable was the Miniature Donkey from the Budweiser commercials and her new baby named Tru. Tru was all white and had blue eyes, she was so pretty I just wanted to take her home with us. After we finished our beers we left the park.

On the way back to the hotel we stopped at the famous Ted Drewes for a "concrete". It was so cool and everything that I hoped it would be. Corbin and Nora loved their vanilla custards. They loved them so much in fact that we had to strip them down to get into the car.

When we got back to the hotel we went to the pool. Corbin and Randall swam for bit while I sat with Nora. She decided that she did not want to go swimming again. Randall started to get goofy and was showing off when he scraped his chin on the bottom of the pool. After we got the bleeding to stop Randall sat with Nora while I swam with Corbin.

Today we're going to go to the Botanical Gardens and the History Museum. Tomorrow we're going to go to the top of the Arch before we leave town.
